28th Critics Choice Awards 2023: Host, nominations, how to watch, live, date and time

The best in filmmaking and television programming of 2022 will be honoured at the 28th Critics Choice Awards, which will take place on January 15, 2023, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

With 14 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, the absurdist picture Everything Everywhere All at Once leads the pack.

Meanwhile, the ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary tops the TV category with six nods, including Best Comedy Series. Quinta Brunson, the show’s creator, has also been nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.

Janelle Monáe, who is non-binary, is also expected to receive the Critics Choice Association’s SEEHER Award. Kristen Bell, Viola Davis, Gal Gadot, Claire Foy, Zendaya, and Halle Berry are among the previous recipients.

The 2023 Critics Choice Awards will air live on The CW on January 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. ET. Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV, and DirecTV Stream will also carry the show.

The American comedian, actress, writer, television host, and producer, will host the 28th Critics Choice Awards.

Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin spoke about her highly and said:

“We are thrilled to have Chelsea Handler joining us at the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards.”

He continued:

“We all know and love her work as a standup comedian, a best-selling author, a podcast host, and actress — and now as host of the Critics’ Choice Awards! I know this will be the best year yet and can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store.”
